My favorite song is most likely Sing About Me I’m Dying Of Thirst by Kendrick Lamar. I feel that it represents Kendrick Lamar’s artistic and story telling capabilities greatly. After the first verse the listener is drawn into a story that goes on for 12 minutes without repetition or mundanity. The story is about the ghetto in Compton that Kendrick Lamar was raised in and the struggles people face to survive. The song can easily paint a picture in the listener’s mind due to the word choice and flow of the song. It never got popular enough to be well known so I would recommend you listen to the song and the album it’s a part of, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City.

My least favorite song would be What Does The Fox Say by Ylvis. As the most pointlessly popular song it ruined what would’ve been a year of great music in 2013. I hope I never have to hear the song ever again.
